Bamboo Rods

The bamboo rods have been very well accepted by our customers and all of us continue to enjoy making them. We are planning on making approximately 200 bamboo rods and have made about 130 so far. We will assign to customers their rod serial number based on the sequence in which we receive their order. We will continue to put individual names on those rods as requested by the buyers. We ask for a 25% deposit with the balance to be paid when we start the final assembly of your rod. The rod will be delivered within 4 months of the final payment. As of September 2009 we expect to deliver rods within 12-24 months of their order.

You will be notified of your serial number at the time of your deposit and the approximate delivery date of the finished rod.

Graphite Rods

We sell approximately 40 composite (graphite & fiberglass) rods per year and each one is custom made to order. Our typical delivery now runs 24 to 36 months. When we receive your order we will put you in our order queue and give you an estimated delivery date. Since our delivery date is several months away we are currently not asking for a deposit. When we are ready to start your rod we will ask for a $500 deposit and will give you an up-to-date delivery estimate.

Fiberglass Blanks and Rods

The fiberglass blanks are all designed but getting the color correct has been a struggle. We still don't have the perfect one but are very close. My best estimate now is that we will have blanks around the 1st of March. Even though it's been a challenge I'm not about to give up because the blanks have turned out exceptionally well and I believe they are worth waiting for. I apologize foryour inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Our intention is to keep fiberglass blanks in stock once we get our initial stock of all models. This probably won't happen until early 2010. We will take orders and ship as they become available if we are out of stock.

In addition to blanks we are also offering fiberglass rods. The number of fiberglass rods available would be part of the 40 composite rods we will make each year. Each one will be custom made using the same components as our graphite rods. Our fiberglass rods are the same price as our graphite which is considerably more than typical fiberglass rods. However, our cost is the same as our graphite rods and they are just as special.

Morgan/Saracione Reels
We have sold all of our reels except for the original two prototypes. If you are interested in these please contact us.

Saracione Mark IV Trout Reels
We are now carrying these reels as a replacement for our custom made reels.  We will either have them in stock or available on short notice.

Hand Mills
It is our intention to keep them in stock and available for immediate shipment. If we are out of Hand Mills it should only be a short time before they are available. We typically keep all accessories in stock.

Slow Poke Press
Gerri's latest book, Tom Morgan's Favorite Flies Favorite Waters, will be available to new purchasers sometime during the winter of 2010 after current orders are filled. When ordered you will be given an estimate of the delivery date. We ask
for a $300 deposit with your order.

The Mountain Bluebird book and Culinary Herbs books are currently available for immediate shipment.

We typically send these books via the Postal Service insured.

Payment
We accept personal checks, international money orders, wire transfers, MasterCard, or Visa credit cards for payment. If you would like to make a wire transfer our bank name, address, and routing number will be supplied on request. If you made a deposit when you ordered we will notify you when we are ready to ship so you can make arrangements for the final payment.

We have had some customers send their credit card information by email. We really discourage this since that is not a secure method. Please call or send the information via fax.

Shipping
For the rods, reels, and books we normally charge for shipping via the Postal Service. We have had excellent results using their services both domestically and overseas. Should you have a different preference, let us know. The Hand Mills are normally shipped UPS ground in the U.S. or Canada. Overseas shipments are sent by air freight. You may also pick up your rod, reel, or Hand Mill at our shop by appointment.

We have carefully chosen and inspected all of the components of the Tom Morgan Rodsmiths rods, blanks, reels, and Hand Mills and guaranteed them against any defects in material and workmanship. We do not guarantee these rods, blanks, reels, or Hand Mills against damage caused by improper handling, negligence, or accident. If you should be so unfortunate as to break a rod, blank, or damage a reel or Hand Mill we will repair or replace it for a fee. You can contact us or return it for an estimate. Each rod and reel come with a warranty registration card.
